Cookie policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This is a translation of the Italian cookie policy. In the event of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your device, where they are stored so they can be sent back to the same sites on your next visit. Similar tools, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), make it possible to keep information on the device. There are technical tools, needed for the site to work or to provide a service the user has asked for, and profiling tools, which build profiles of the user for marketing purposes.

Cookies and tools used by this site

This is an informational website with a contact form, built to keep data processing to a minimum. It does not set any cookies, technical or profiling.

Specifically, the site does not use:

  • profiling or marketing cookies;
  • analytics tools, whether our own or third-party (for example Google Analytics);
  • content embedded from third-party platforms (videos, maps, social networks): typefaces, images and videos are hosted directly on the site.

Light/dark theme preference

When the user chooses the light or dark theme with the theme switch, the site stores that choice in the browser's local storage (localStorage), under the key theme, with the value light or dark, so it can be applied on later pages and visits. The information stays on the user's device, is not sent to any server and does not identify the user; it is not written if the switch has never been used, and it can be deleted at any time by clearing the site's data in the browser settings.

Spam protection for the contact form

On the contact page only, the form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. that checks that a submission comes from a person and not from an automated program. To do so, Turnstile collects technical signals from the browser and device (for example IP address, user agent and characteristics of the interaction with the check). According to the provider, these signals are used solely to detect and block bots, not to identify, profile or track users. More information is available in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.

Consent

The tools described above are technical in nature: they provide a service the user has explicitly requested (the theme preference) or ensure the security of the site (spam protection). Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021, the user's consent is not required for such tools; this is why the site does not display any cookie consent banner.

Links to external sites

Some pages contain links to third-party sites (for example the sites of clients and partners, LinkedIn, Google Maps or the sources cited on the Credits and licences page). Clicking these links takes you to external sites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies and over which the controller has no control.

Managing cookies in your browser

Users can manage or delete cookies and data stored locally by websites through their browser settings. Instructions are available on the support pages of the main browsers:

Data controller and data subject rights

The data controller, how to exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15–22 GDPR, response times and the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority are described in detail in the Privacy notice.

Updates

This cookie policy may be updated; any changes will be published on this page together with the date of the last update.
